Setting the stage.

Giumoèl is an interior design and architecture studio known for crafting intentional spaces that set the stage for the lives unfolding within them.

Founded in London by Giulia Burfeindt, our studio quickly expanded across Europe and beyond—driven by a mission to design spaces that are reflective of their cultural and geographic context, and informed by the individuality of each client.

With a cultivated design intuition backed by technical skill and extensive project experience, we deliver a seamless process for our clients who return for interiors that reflect who they are—and elevate how they live.

We review each enquiry carefully, and if it feels like the right fit, someone from our team will be in touch to explore how we can add value and outline next steps.

Our Design Process

  • Every successful project starts with a strong brief, aligned expectations and a plan for execution.
This includes surveying the site, discussing your goals, timelines, budgets etc.

  • At the beginning of this phase we work closely with clients to plan their space based on their lifestyle and requirements whilst exploring initial design ideas to understand your personal taste and develop a design concept which guides the next design phase.

  • During the detail design phase, each element is designed, specified and chosen. This phase varies based on the scope of the project and might include architectural details, finishes, furnishing etc. In many projects this is where the work begins on site whilst we finalise elements of the interior design in phases alongside the project schedule.
This will be discussed and planned based on your project scope during the briefing and planning stage to ensure smooth, efficient progress.

  • The final work on site will be completed at this stage, our decorators and joiners complete any last steps on site before the rest of the furniture and decor gets delivered and assembled. If we manage the project then someone from our team will be on site during this phase to ensure everything is perfect, manage potential improvements which need to be made and finally hand you the keys to your dream home.

Ethos

Sustainability

But what does that even really mean?

Integrity

The art of contextual design and crafting interiors which are authentic to each client and empathetic to their surroundings.

Curation

Rooted in the belief that a well-crafted space is a curation of genuine design pieces, we have built an extensive network of local artisans and makers all over Europe which support us in crafting interiors where each piece carries a story and each project ends up a collaboration of multiple designers, artists and makers who take pride in their craft.

FAQs

  • We work on full-scope interior architecture and design projects—from private residences to development properties and have done other projects including a boutique hotel, a private aviation project and a plastic surgery clinic.
Whilst we remain project-agnostic, we do focus on full renovations or otherwise extensive scopes that allow us to have a high impact with our work.
The more information you can give us about your project via the enquiry form, the more accurately we can determine if and how might help you before booking a consultation.

  • As involved as you want to be. We handle everything from concept to completion, but always keep our clients informed and in control. Clear communication and a streamlined process are key.
We will discuss this in detail during the briefing and onboarding call but from experience, we’ve had clients who were almost fully hands-off and others who were more involved and even joined some of our showroom visits to make final decisions.

  • Our fee structure depends on the scope, complexity, and specific requirements of each project. We often work with a hybrid of a set project fee or retainer agreement and pre-determined fees for anything that would fall outside of the initially agreed project scope. After reviewing your enquiry, we’ll provide a tailored proposal outlining fees, timelines, and deliverables.

  • We prioritise full-scope projects where we can have the most impact, but do occasionally offer project consultation and planning services for those who need help creating a detailed project plan gaining a clearer understanding of their objectives, expectations, timelines and budget before diving in. (This can be the start for a collaboration with us or a helpful tool before speaking to contractors should you choose to do the project without us).

We also offer full FF&E packages and lighting schedules through our sister company procurist.io .
